:: Trouble in paradise already? Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres are reportedly not getting along. Weird. We always pictured Simon to be the type to embrace change with open arms and treat newcomers as his equal. [Radar Online]

:: The Simon Cowell-organized rerecording of R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts” single to benefit Haiti will be out February 7, and will feature (deep breath) Mariah Carey, Miley Cyrus, Kylie Minogue, Michael Buble, Jon Bon Jovi, Take That, Robbie Williams, Mika, James Blunt, James Morrison, Westlife, Susan Boyle, Cheryl Cole, JLS and X Factor winners Alexandra Burke, Joe McElderry and Leona Lewis. Not featured: Jay Leno and his boo-hoo tears. [Billboard]

:: Season 9 is set to be the longest season yet—producers are extending the episodes covering the Top 12 through Top 9 to two hours apiece. Can’t wait for Season 10, when the show continuously airs 24 hours a day for five months straight. [MJsbigblog]

:: Contestant Todrick Hall just appeared on Idol and is already involved with a scandal. Wow, ahead of schedule!  [Vote For The Worst]

Also not included on Cowell's charity single: Shayne Ward, who should be winding up into promotion mode for his upcoming CD. Would have been a convenient way to introduce him to other territories if his management was really serious about his success.

Simon Cowell can be very good or very bad, no middle ground. I hope Ellen dosen't let him get away with any sheet.
    Happy birthday, aquarian angel Adam.
