Watch The Fine-Feathered Florence And The Machine Video For “Hurricane Drunk”

Feb 1st, 2010 // 3 Comments

Florence Welch proves to be an interesting bird—literally!—in the new Florence And The Machine music video for “Hurricane Drunk.” We’ve kind of lost track of how many singles her debut album Lungs has offered up. But now that she finally landed a Top 10 UK hit last month with “You’ve Got The Love,” as well as topped the British album chart two weeks ago, you can bet there are at least a few more to come.

Watch Brit Award-nominated Florence get all dolled up in bird feathers and spread her wings in the “Hurricane Drunk” video below.

Maybe the flame-haired crooner O.D.’d on too much Owl City?

Florence is up for Best Female Solo Artist, Best Breakthrough Act and British Album at this year’s BRITS. Next up she’ll be joining her fellow countrymen Damon Albarn of Gorillaz and Thom Yorke in the California desert for the Sunday, April 18 bill of Coachella.

Watch Florence and the machine on the bigger screen – Birds Eye View Film Festival in London this coming saturday march 6th 2010.

It is fantastic opportunity to learn more about the approach of two directors to the music of Florence and The Machine. Tabitha Denholm, one half of DJ/promoter duo Queens of Noize, has been working with Tom Beard as Tom & Tabitha for 18 months and they have produced some stunning films for Partizan. Dawn Shadforth, perhaps best known for her work with Kylie Minogue, is one of the most well-respected and successful female music video directors in the world.
