The Morning Mix: Taylor Swift Still Single

Good morning! Pink is set to appear on Oprah today, and if we’re lucky, the entire interview will follow the lead of her death-defying Grammy performance and take place upside down hanging from the ceiling. If she can sing with all the blood rushing to her head, chit-chatting with Oprah should be a breeze. For now, onto the mix:

Did You Hear?

:: Attention! Taylor Swift is not dating Glee star Cory Montieth. She is also not dating John Mayer, Joe Jonas, Tiger Woods, President Obama, Taylor Lautner, Taylor Momsen, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, James Taylor, Kanye West, Senator-elect Scott Brown, Kelly Clarkson, or you. Just wanted to clear that up. [Ocean Up]

:: Get your angst on and listen to a sampler of the Almost Alice soundtrack. [Disney.com]

:: Get ready for the oddest musical collaboration yet: a song called “My Space” will feature the voice talents of Frances Bean Cobain, My Chemical Romance’s Gerard Way, Dresden Dolls’ Amanda Palmer and… Weird Al Yankovic?!? [Alt Press]

:: Snoop Dogg helps unveil the Star Wars line of Adidas sneakers in Times Square. What, Mark Hamill was busy? [Rap Up]

:: At least the members of Fall Out Boy (and their famous friends) have a good sense of humor about all the break-up chatter. [Spin]

After the jump: could we let Bobby Brown’s b-day go by without celebrating it? Hell-to-the-no!

VIDEO REWIND OF THE DAY: It’s Bobby Brown’s 41st birthday! Ah, remember when he was the hottest act in music? No? Well, your parents do. His 1988 album Don’t Be Cruel was #1 on the charts, and included five Top 10 singles, including “Every Little Step.” The song, written by LA Reid and Babyface, is a funky dance track that still holds up today—although the music video’s wardrobe is a bit more outdated. From Bobby’s lopsided staircase hairstyle to his own name printed on the sleeve of his intensely shoulder-padded blazer, the video is a nice little time capsule of humiliating fashion trends. (Then again, embarrassing style choices aren’t limited to the 80s—we’re pretty sure in a year or two, Rihanna will look back at her current hairdo and wardrobe in horror.)

Have a great day, everyone!
