It’s been four years since JoJo released sophomore album The High Road. And as she mentioned recently in an interview with Rap-Up, the 19-year-old diva is gearing up for the long-delayed release of her new LP, All I Want Is Everything. Ahead of that, JoJo served up a new-ish, jazzy R&B track on her MySpace yesterday called “Wait A Minute (For Your Love).” Hop below to give it a spin.

This sounds very Anita Baker. And while it’s a pleasant change of pace from JoJo’s hit teen-pop jams like “Leave (Get Out)” and “Too Little Too Late,” it comes off as being just a tad bit too mature for her. Still, as a one-off, it’s not too shabby.

Here’s what JoJo had to say on her MySpace blog about “Wait A Minute (For Your Love)”:

“Just posted a song called ‘Wait a Minute (For Your Love)’ I wrote with Jordan Gatsby a while ago that I wanted to share. Its just a record that I love, which probably wont make the album (since this doesnt at all fit the direction…lol) but still represents a genre of music that inspires me. Making this was so much fun… Still recording for the album. Slow and steady wins the race. Im doing all that I can to get new material out asap.”

Earlier this month JoJo joined Timbaland on stage in Florida at the Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam to rock their Shock Value II cut “Losing Control.”
