Bruce Willis Chases Down Gorillaz In The “Stylo” Video

Part Mad Max, part Tarantino flick, Gorillaz’s music video for current single “Stylo” is packed with guns, car chases, a creepy ghost-like monster made out of smoke and, uh, donuts. In the clip, the cartoon band manages to escape a tubby cop who’s hot on their tail while driving through the California desert. But the CGI-rendered trio gets more than they bargained for when a bounty hunter (played by none other than effing Bruce Willis) starts giving them chase.

In the end, 2D, Murdoc and Noodle escape Bruce by driving straight off a cliff. The last thing we see is their Camaro swimming away in the water below. What were they on the run from in the first place? We may never know…till the next music video!

Jamie Hewlett, Damon Albarn’s partner in crime with Gorillaz, directed “Stylo.” EMI has disabled the embedding code for the clip, but you can watch it on YouTube. (And be sure to keep an eye out for the “Superfast Jellyfish” billboard!)

Meanwhile, here’s another track off the band’s upcoming Plastic Beach LP (out March 9)—the scene-setting second track off the album, “Welcome To The World Of Plastic Beach,” which features tree hugger Snoop Dogg on vocals.
