A Jordin Sparks song called “Turn This Car Around” has popped up online, and it’s not too shabby. The big ballad is somewhat in the “Battlefield” vein, and it was written by Claude Kelly and produced by Oak. “Oh, this is a song I recorded last year but didnt make the cut. Its still great,” Sparks tweeted yesterday. Hear her version of “Turn This Car Around,” as well as Claude Kelly’s demo, after the jump.

If we’re getting down the nitty gritty, the production is a bit sparse. It probably could have just used a bit more punch, and it would’ve been fine to include on Jordin’s Battlefield album.

Ah, well—here’s Claude Kelly’s version:

You know, they should have just done this as a duet.

At any rate, Jordin was in the studio with producer Emanuel Kiriakou yesterday recording a song for the Nickelodeon series Big Time Rush. “You guys are going to LOVE this song me and @bigtimerush are doing,” Sparks posted on her Twitter.

Meanwhile, Kiriakou also posted a short clip of the American Idol Season 6 winner in the studio on Bubble Tweet.
