Last month Monica Parales of School Gyrls talked to Idolator about the girl group’s song “Get Like Me,” which features Mariah Carey. And lo and behold, the single was added to iTunes last night. Head below to hear Mimi cooing in the background on the tween pop jam.

“It was written by [Mariah] and Nick [Cannon],” Parales, who goes by the nickname “Mo Money,” told Idolator. “When we were recording the song, she was very hands-on with the sound—like, for example, if the music changed she would be concerned about it… She’s super sweet and we are so very blessed that we got to work with such an amazing, beautiful, singer.”

Here’s “Get Like Me”:

Dizz-ang. Mariah really loves her husband to play fourth fiddle to School Gyrls. (The group was assembled by Cannon.) Of course, this isn’t the first time Carey has taken the backseat on another artist’s single. Remember this 2003 groove?

Meanwhile, Carey’s own oft-delayed Angels Advocate remix album is finally scheduled to see the light of day on March 30.
