Did You Hear?

:: A warrant was issued for the arrest of Lil Wayne in connection with a narcotics case, though he’s already behind bars on a weapons charge. Rumor has it he plans to make 47 music videos before his next court appearance. [Vulture]

:: The two Panic! At the Disco members who flew the coop—Ryan Ross and Jon Walker—debut their new song “Young Veins (Die Tonight).” Interesting title, since Young Veins is the name of their new group. More interesting? Sounds pretty much like Panic’s last album Pretty. Odd. [Spin]

:: Jack White and Jay-Z recorded a song together. No details about what the track sounds like or even the name, but we’re hoping for “Empire State of Mind (Sped Up) Pt. III.” [Pitchfork]

:: Pomplamoose officially make the most adorable covers of pop songs ever. Check out their precious indie covers of “Telephone” and “Single Ladies.” [MTV Buzzworthy]

:: Nicole Scherzinger had a surprise suitor hit on her during the “We Are The World” recording—Justin Bieber. The heartthrob took one look at her upon entering the room, and said, “I can’t take it. I gotta leave. You’re too gorgeous.” [Rap-Up]

After the jump: we wish happy birthday to a Queen.

Music on TV Today: :: Tonight Show with Jay Leno (NBC) – Orianthi :: Late Night with David Letterman (CBS) – Fanfarlo (repeat) :: Last Call with Carson Daly (ABC) – Wild Light :: Jimmy Kimmel Live (ABC) – Jonny Lang

VIDEO REWIND OF THE DAY: It’s Queen Latifah’s 40th birthday today! Queen—born Dana Owens—has been performing for over 20 years, and she’s built up quite a resume for herself: not only is she a successful rapper, singer, and actress, she can boast that she’s a Grammy winner, a Golden Globe winner, an Emmy nominee and an Oscar nominee. All she needs is a Tony nom to put her closer to being one of the few E.G.O.T.s in entertainment.

Let’s celebrate the Queen’s big 4-0 with her highest charting hit, 1994’s “U.N.I.T.Y.”—and as great as early 90s Latifah was, we’re just as wowed by the fashion metamorphosis she’s undergone since then.

Have a great day!
