‘American Idol’: Goodbye, Lacey Brown

We dubbed Lacey Brown’s take on the Rolling Stones’ “Ruby Tuesday” on American Idol this week as “not amazing,” and apparently America agreed. Last night’s results show proved to be the end of the line for the Amarillo, Texas native, and she became the first of the official Season 9 Top 12 to be sent packing. (Paige Miles and Tim Urban surely can’t be too far behind.) But it wasn’t all doom and gloom—Ke$ha (with 3OH!3 in tow), Orianthi and AI Season 7 winner David Cook were all on hand to perform on Wednesday’s episode. Have a watch below.

Here’s Lacey performing Brandi Carlile’s “The Story,” just before getting denied a save by the judges.

David Cook, keeping with the Stones theme by covering “Jumpin’ Jack Flash.”

Ke$ha and 3OH!3, drastically altering the lyrics to their dirty jam “Blah Blah Blah.” Baby, you should have just scandalized America with the regular version.

Orianthi performing her hit “According To You.”
