Sophie Ellis-Bextor Paints A Pretty Picture In “Bittersweet” Video

We already love the song, so it would take a lot for us not to fall head over heels for Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s video for her single “Bittersweet.” Thankfully, the Brit pop goddess didn’t disappoint. Sophie’s video takes a few minutes in order to get past a few routine dance numbers, but it suddenly gets an exciting splash of color. (Literally. There’s paint. And lots of it.) It looks as though the filmmakers took the high-speed cameras from the Planet Earth and Life documentary series and captured what paint looks like in extreme slow-mo. Actually, the vid to “Bittersweet” sort of reminds us of this famous Sony Bravia Paint ad, but with added dance breaks (and a much more pop-tastic tune in the background):
