Offbeat pop songstress Florence Welch led her Florence And The Machines through a glittery set that found the band flitting from pop to soul with a mystical flair. Nathan Willett of the band Cold War Kids even joined the band for its cover of his band’s “Hospital Beds”. Rapper and singer B.o.B declared Florence’s performance to be the most impressive set of the entire festival (he obviously has a thing for redheads). And the band’s timing couldn’t be better: after earning a strong following online during the past year, the band scored its first Top 10 UK hit in January with “Hurricane Drunk”, and the road is now wide open as the machine chugs along.
