B.o.B obviously has got a thing for redheads—he recently waxed poetic to us about Paramore’s Hayley Williams and Florence Welch from Florence and the Machine—but it turns out the Atlanta rapper is also into hipster vampires. The “Nothin’ On You” artist sampled other Coachella-goers Vampire Weekend’s song “The Kids Don’t Stand a Chance” on the surfaced track “The Kids,” off is debut album The Adventures of Bobby Ray. Listen to the jam, featuring the It Music Gal of the moment, Janelle Monae, below. B.o.B. feat. A mid-tempo jam, B.o.B sings the chorus himself, “We’re trapped inside the matrix, forced to play our hand, we’re filled with so much hatred, the kids don’t stand the chance.” He gives the velvety-voiced Janelle her own verse and lets her echo him throughout the song. It’s a solid track, maybe not as captivating as his collab with Hayley on “Airplanes,” but it looks like Bobby Ray’s adventures are going to be worth checking out come April 27.
