Last night the longstanding pain in the side of American Idol Season 9—seemingly invulnerable “Teflon” Tim Urban—was voted off during the two-hour Idol Gives Back charity special. But more importantly, artists such as The Black Eyed Peas, Annie Lennox (wearing a much-discussed T-shirt bearing the slogan “HIV Positive”), Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, Elton John and Joss Stone hit the stage to help raise money during the Queen Latifah-hosted episode.

Watch all of the performances, plus a firsthand account report from Ethiopia by Idol‘s Season 7 winner David Cook, after the jump.

First off, Aaron Kelly, Casey James and Tim Urban all found themselves in the bottom three last night. Here’s how it all played out during Tim’s endgame.

Awww. No final song for Teflon. Moving on, let’s watch the people who did get to perform!

The Black Eyed Peas — “Rock That Body”

Alicia Keys — “Unthinkable (I’m Ready)/Empire State Of Mind”

Carrie Underwood — “Change”

Annie Lennox — “Universal Child” (Note: Annie was stuck in London due to ash from the Iceland volcano restricting flights from England.)

And here’s Lennox explaining why she wears the HIV Positive shirt:

Joss Stone & Jeff Beck — “I Put A Spell On You”

Mary J. Blige — “Stairway To Heaven”
