Betty White And Jay-Z Turn ‘SNL’ Into A True Event

Ah, Jay-Z and Betty White—both national treasures. And, Hova, we love you, but truth be told, your gig as musical guest on Saturday Night Live last night was largely overshadowed by the 88-year-old Golden Girl (the “Delicious Dish” muffin skit alone was worth staying up for). Still, recent Coachella headliner Jay managed to turn out an impressive medley of “Public Service Announcement,” “On To The Next One,” “99 Problems” and “Empire State Of Mind,” as well as a performance of current hit “Young Forever” (featuring Mr Hudson), which he dedicated to “the most incredible Betty White.” Watch below!

Kudos so SNL for getting us to actually watch the whole way through for the first time in years. Guess we have Facebook to thank.

And with only one more episode left before this season ends (next week Alec Baldwin hosts and musical guests Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers will take the stage), we’d like suggest one thing: Betty White as regular—or, at the very least, recurring—cast member next year!
