:: So why was Big Mike sent packing this week? Idol Tracker shares their thoughts, but honestly, somebody’s got to go, and making the Top 4 isn’t anything to shake a finger at. [Idol Tracker]

:: Next week, the Top 3 sing two songs—one of their own choosing, and one chosen by the judges. So what numbers did the judges pick for each contestant? Go below the jump to find out:

According to Rickey.org, the Top 3 will be singing:

Lee DeWyze: “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen (chosen by Simon Cowell) Casey James: “Daughters” by John Mayer (chosen by Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi) Crystal Bowersox: “Maybe I’m Amazed” by Paul McCartney (chosen by Ellen DeGeneres)

“Hallelujah,” really? Haven’t we heard this song enough times not only this season, but every season? Hopefully Lee kills his version (and makes us forget all about Jason Castro’s brilliant take on it during Season 7, which is unlikely) or he chooses a fresher, less overplayed track for his second song.

Also, will John Mayer’s douchiness hurt Casey’s likeability when he sings a Mayer song? Honestly, we think only Crystal is starting off the night at an advantage in regards to the song the judge’s picked for her.
