Tonight on Glee, Neil Patrick Harris guest stars as Mr. Schuester’s high-school rival while Lea Michele and c’mon-it-has-to-be-her-mom-right? Idina Menzel duet again. Most surprising about tonight’s “Dream On” episode? Artie (Kevin McHale) gets two songs. Somebody besides Lea, Matthew Morrison and Cory Monteith getting a solo?! This has to be a dream! Pinch us, then take the jump for your weekly song spoiler.

Boo. Also, regarding Artie practically sounding like T-Pain on “Safety Dance”—Enough. With. The. Auto-Tune! We want to hear glee club versions of hit tunes, not overproduced, remastered copycats. (Artie’s second song, “Dream A Little Dream Of Me” is a better example of just letting the actors’ voices shine without mixing it a robot.)

Oh, and smooth move, Glee peeps, for including the Les Miserables song “I Dreamed a Dream” now that it’s permeated pop culture thanks to Susan Boyle. As gorgeous as Lea and Idina’s voices are, who else is missing SoBu on this track?

Other songs with “Dream” in the title they could have tackled: Mariah Carey’s “Dreamlover,” Gary Wright’s “Dreamweaver,” Crowded House’s “Don’t Dream It’s Over” and anything by The-Dream. What other dreamy songs did the show forget to include? Throw your picks in the comments!
