We’re as sad as you are that Lost is ending its six-season run this Sunday night. In appreciation of the obsessive sci-fi drama’s mind-bending mysteries, incredible action sequences and loveable characters (as well as the hated ones, too—we’re looking at you, Nikki and Paulo), we bring you the Ultimate Lost Series Finale Playlist to throw on during your finale party. Take a sip of your Dharma beer, order up some Mr. Cluck’s chicken, and check out our 20-song playlist we made for all you Losties.

“Lost” – Coldplay

[wpaudio url=”//idolator.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/03-Lost.mp3″ text=”Lost – Coldplay” dl=”0″]

In honor of the minimalist title card we’ve come to love. (Although this 80s-style theme song and credits sequence would have been great, too.)

“Island in the Sun” – Weezer

[wpaudio url=”//idolator.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/island-in-the-sun1.mp3″ text=”Island In The Sun – Weezer” dl=”0″]

We bet the castaways wish their island was as laid back and pleasant as this ditty.

“Smoke on the Water” – Deep Purple

[wpaudio url=”//idolator.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/smoke-on-the-water-1.mp3″ text=”Smoke on the Water – Deep Purple” dl=”0″]

In honor of our dear Smoke Monster. Ah, Smokey, there will never be another TV villain quite like you.

“Captain Jack” – Billy Joel

[wpaudio url=”//idolator.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/captain-jack.mp3″ text=”Captain Jack – Billy Joel” dl=”0″]

Dr. Jack Shephard always likened him as the leader of the Losties—too bad he was generally a big wuss throughout almost every season.

“Tom Sawyer” – Rush

[wpaudio url=”//idolator.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/Tom-Sawyer.mp3″ text=”Tom Sawyer – Rush” dl=”0″]

Though there aren’t a lot of songs with “Sawyer” in the title, the lyrics are certainly fitting for our main Island hunk James Ford—”Don’t put him down as arrogant/His reserve, a quiet defense/Riding out the day’s events… catch the mist, catch the myth/Catch the mystery, catch the drift.”

“Kate” – Ben Folds Five

[wpaudio url=”//idolator.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/kate.mp3″ text=”Kate – Ben Folds Five” dl=”0″]

Before she was a criminal, we bet Kate Austen was as chill and fun to hang around as the Kate in this classic Ben Folds Five song. (Well, at least when her step-dad wasn’t around.)

“Love Lockdown” – Kanye West

[wpaudio url=”//idolator.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/love-lockdown.mp3″ text=”Love Lockdown – Kanye West” dl=”0″]

We could argue that Season 6 is all about a “Locke”-down on the island, but this one is just included because it has “Locke” in the title. (What do you want? There isn’t a song called “Don’t Tell Me What I Can’t Do.”)

“Penny Lane” – The Beatles

[wpaudio url=”//idolator.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/Penny-Lane.mp3″ text=”Penny Lane – The Beatles” dl=”0″]

In honor of Penny, who has been constantly in Desmond’s ears and in Desmond’s eyes (not to mention his mind as his constant). And speaking of our brutha Desmond…

“Make Your Own Kind of Music” – Mama Cass

[wpaudio url=”//idolator.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/Make-Your-Own-Kind-Of-Music.mp3″ text=”Make Your Own Kind Of Music – Mama Cass” dl=”0″]

This is the song Des listened to while continuously repeating the numbers while sequestered in the hatch.

“Torture” – The Jacksons

[wpaudio url=”//idolator.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/Torture-Syid.mp3″ text=”Torture – The Jacksons” dl=”0″]

In honor of all the violent kick-assing Sayid brought to the show, despite the fact we know at heart he’s a lover, not a fighter.

“House of the Rising Sun” – The Animals

[wpaudio url=”//idolator.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/rising-sun1.mp3″ text=”House of the Rising Sun – The Animals” dl=”0″]

This Animals song was the title of the first episode to feature Sun and Jin’s flashbacks back in Season 1, when we discovered that Sun was planning to leave Jin before crashing into the island and that she secretly speaks English.

“Forever Young” – Alphaville

[wpaudio url=”//idolator.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/Forever-Young.mp3″ text=”Forever Young – Alphaville” dl=”0″]

For Richard Alpert, Jacob, and all the other characters on the island who never age. (What’s the opposite of “Forever Young”? Because whatever that is, that should be for Walt, who aged at an abnormally speedy rate.)

“Have You Seen My Baby” – Ringo Starr

[wpaudio url=”//idolator.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/baby-ringo.mp3″ text=”Have You Seen My Baby – Ringo Starr” dl=”0″]

There were a lot of babies and children kidnapped on this show. Like, a lot: Walt was kidnapped from Michael by The Others, Claire’s baby Aaron was taken (twice!), Ben kidnapped Alex from Danielle, all the surviving children from the plane wreck were also snatched, and Jacob and his twin The Man In Black were kidnapped right after being born. We probably missed about 5 million other child kidnappings.

“He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother” – The Hollies

[wpaudio url=”//idolator.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/he-aint-heavy-hes-my-brother.mp3″ text=”He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother – The Hollies” dl=”0″]

Dude, he is heavy (and miraculously stayed that way despite being stranded on a deserted island), but Hurley was everybody’s “brutha” (as Desmond would say). Hurley’s friendship with Charlie was the show’s best bromance, and in the wake of Charlie’s death, it was both gutwrenching and touching to see Lost‘s funniest character show his deeper emotional side.

“You All Everybody” – Driveshaft

[wpaudio url=”//idolator.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/You-All-Everybody.mp3″ text=”You All Everybody – Driveshaft” dl=”0″]

Charlie (or as Claire would warble, “Chaaaahlay”) Pace and his brother Liam formed the one-hit wonder Oasis-rip-off group Driveshaft. This is their one-hit wonder, “You All Everybody,” which was made famous in a humiliating diaper commercial.

“While You Wait For The Others” – Grizzly Bear

[wpaudio url=”//idolator.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/while.mp3″ text=”While You Wait For The Others – Grizzly Bear” dl=”0″]

Obvious.

“Back in Time” – Huey Lewis and The News

[wpaudio url=”//idolator.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/Back-in-time.mp3″ text=”Back In Time – Huey Lewis and The News” dl=”0″]

Time travel isn’t just for hot tubs and DeLoreans. Islands can time travel, too! And it often leads to nosebleeds and incredibly confusing plot twists.

“Linus and Lucy” – Peanuts theme

[wpaudio url=”//idolator.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/linus-and-lucy.mp3″ text=”Linus and Lucy” dl=”0″]

Can you imagine Ben Linus manipulating and killing people set to this childlike score? We sure can, and it’s hilarious. (And let’s just say the “Lucy” stands for tough cop Anna Lucia, who got shot by Michael because of Ben’s deal made with Michael back during Season 2.)

“Back to the Island” – Leon Russell

[wpaudio url=”//idolator.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/back-to-the-island.mp3″ text=”Back To The Island – Leon Russell” dl=”0″]

Whoa, everybody made it off the island?! And Jack wants to drag everybody back?! Season 3 finale shockaroo!

“Eternal Flame” – The Bangles

[wpaudio url=”//idolator.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/eternal-flame.mp3″ text=”Eternal Flame – The Bangles” dl=”0″]

So the big mystery of the show’s sixth seasons (we think) was that someone was necessary to protect the bright shining light emenating from the center of the island. Right? Er, we’re still not clear. Hopefully Sunday’s finale can clear that one up for us.
