Heads Up: Kanye West’s “Power” Artwork Has Arrived

Oh, did you think the power trip was over? If you saw Kanye West’s volcano-enhanced peformance at the BET Awards, you already know he’s returned to making grand statements with his art. (See also: “I’m here to smack you.”) Check out the just-surfaced artwork for “Power”, West’s sprawling march back to center stage, and it’s hard to imagine that the Kanye we’re going to get on his forthcoming Good Ass Job is much different from the Kanye we had before: manic, brilliant, childish, self-obsessed and — ultimately — undeniable.

“Power” will evidently be on sale at iTunes tomorrow (July 1), and we’ll see if we can learn more about the artwork. It certainly appears to be the work of  similarity to the portrait (also entitled “Power”) by multi-media artist George Condo that was posted on Kanye’s official site when the single first surfaced.

What do you think this new image represents?
