Ciara Gives Us A Thumping Dance Track With “Gimme Dat”

Just hours ago, Ciara flipped the script on Soulja Boy Tellem with her own version of his bouncy-but-boorish “Pretty Boy Swag”.  But she’s not done yet — the “Ride” singer’s own tune “Gimme Dat”, from her album Basic Instinct, has fallen into our virtual laps. And unlike this morning’s musical “treat”, we aren’t sarcastic when we say it’s fantastic. Listen below.

The “dat” in question is the bass, and this awesome dance track, produced by Tricky Stewart and Soundz, has plenty of it. It’s super fast-paced, full of energy, and despite the fact that Ciara doesn’t say anything meaningful at all in the song full of superficial “let’s go!”-type dancefloor declarations, who really cares? It has a great beat, isn’t filled to the brim with Auto-Tune like most dance tracks circulating today, and makes us want to go clubbing immediately. Can’t wait to see the vid!

What do you guys think of Ciara’s latest offering?
