Ne-Yo rolled out the videos for two songs off his upcoming Libra Scale concept album—”Champagne Life” and “Beautiful Monster.” In the first, he’s given the opportunity to gain unmeasured powers that are to be used to protect mankind. But in the second, our soulful hero has lost his way in disillusionment and booze, and the city is threatened by an equally powerful woman bent on taking over. Catch both vids below.

The videos were directed by Ne-Yo (aka SkeetScorcese) and Mark Isham.

Last month Ne-Yo discussed “Beautiful Monster,” which was produced by his frequent collaborators Stargate, in a MySpace video he posted. “The song embodies a portion of a story that the album is inspired by,” said the singer. “Beautiful Monster is in fact our love interest/archnemesis… It may not make a whole lot of sense to you this second, but once you see the videos and the forthcoming film, it’ll all meld together.”

Further to that, he told MTV, “”When you see the first video, make sure that you’re paying attention because all of the videos tell a story. So pay attention—you don’t want to miss nothing.”

Libra Scale is due out September 21. Are you digging Ne-Yo as a superhuman being?
