Ahead of the September 13 UK release of The Script’s sophomore album Science & Faith, the Irish lite-rockers are offering up brand new single “For The First Time.” The tune pretty much falls in line with the trio’s mega-hit “Breakeven,” in that it’s all broken hearts and power-balladry mixed with Coldplay-esque chords. Swoon after the jump, Script fans.

On the band’s UK site, it was announced today that the three Dubliners will be heading out on a six-date tour British tour in support of their upcoming second LP. Meanwhile, here in the States, “Breakeven” has been nominated for Choice Rock Track at the 2010 Teen Choice Awards.
