Christina Aguilera Wins Us Over With The Dance Remix Of “You Lost Me”

Jul 19th, 2010 // 11 Comments

The Hex Hector & Max Quayle remix of Christina Aguilera’s ballad “You Lost Me” blows away pretty much all of Bionic‘s dance tracks—which is unfortunate for the album as a whole, but at least we have a perfect club-thumping song to shake your booty to. (Just ignore the fact that the tune about lost love is really depressing, even when given an ferocious beat.) Track below.

Although the radio mix of the single already has an extra beat added on top of the more somber album version, this club mix pushes it to the next level, delivering an epic electro-pop dance anthem. We love it. Now enough of the on-set photos, when are we getting the video already?

UPDATE: That was quick. The video will drop July 22 on Vevo. Here’s a sneak peek:

A smoking gun goes off when Christina sings “smoking gun”? Why, that’s an analogy. You could even call it a metaphor.

  1. umm...

Please tell me you’re kidding… The remix is nice and all, but it absolutely pales in comparison to the original and the actual up tempo tracks on Bionic take a huge steaming dump all over this.

YESSS! They did a great job…and it sounds like she added different vocals to it as well. HOTTNESS!

AND WHY IS THE WRITER OF THIS ARTICLE SO HUNG UP ON THE ‘ELASTIC LOVE’ LYRICS OF “a rubberband was an analogy, you could even say it’s a metaphor”.

  4. Love the remix… Wish Christina ALL THE BEST

This mix is a mess. A mix should compliment the original. Its like they tried to squeeze two completely different songs together. With that being said, “you lost me,” is a difficult song to make happen with as a club banger.

That’s fantastic and perfect for the summer! :-)

  7. Well This Song Is Awesome No Matter What =)

  8. I like the original.
You guys have to be kidding, Xtina is being criticized for going the Gaga-electro-pop route, yet now its being praised?

  9. I love my girl Xtina!
Bionic is the best record I’ve listened to in a long time.

I see the lyrics as being creative, not bad. And those lyrics are a lot better than a lot of the lyrics in songs on the radio these days.
