If “Hurt Me” is any indication, then Ne-Yo may have another classic album on his hands. The track, rumored to be produced by his frequent collaborators Stargate (the pop craftsmen behind his smash “Beautiful Monster”), is evidently yet another treasure from his upcoming concept album, Libra Scale. The new jam kicks off with a dirtied-up synth track before soaring into the stratosphere as Ne-Yo sings about a girl hell-bent on inflicting pain on him. “What’s sad is that I deserve it all,” he sings. Hear Shaffer hurt so good below.

Ne-Yo has described the loose storyline of Libra Scale almost as if it’s a comic book, and if that’s the case, this song provides the soundtrack for the scene when his archnemesis comes gunning for him.
