Rihanna Hopefully Won’t Sink Hollywood’s “Battleship”
She knows how to sizzle on stage, but can Rihanna recreate the same magic on the silver screen? The pop star is set to make her feature film debut in the science-fiction/action movie Battleship, based on the board game people played before the Internet was invented. Also starring in the Peter Berg-directed movie is Friday Night Lights‘ Taylor Kitsch and Alexander Skarsgård, best known for being the only vampire on True Blood who can pull off a baby blue sweater. Now that Rihanna’s BFF Katy Perry is also set to make her film debut as Smurfette, can we get these two budding thespians into a female buddy cop franchise? [MTV]
