Kid Cudi’s “Mojo So Dope” In New ‘Mr. Rager’ Track

Another track from Kid Cudi’s upcoming Man Of The Moon II: The Legend Of Mr. Rager surfaced, the hazy “Mojo So Dope.” It’s a smart move to promote your album by performing some of your new tracks live in your old neighborhood, but honestly, the best way to get people excited about your upcoming release is simply by having some killers tracks. And Cudder definitely does in spades. Check out the (tagged) track “Mojo So Dope” below.

It starts off with a retro 60s vibe with a melancholy soloist singing “I love you so,” and transforms into a dreamy, dramatic tune—we can almost picture Cudder rapping this through a cloud of dry ice (or pot smoke, take your pick).

“Yes I really drink, I really do rage / My demons left the cage most of the day,” Cudi raps. At least he’s not making any excuses for his growing number of violent episodes.

We have feeling Cudi won’t be having a sophomore slump with Mr. Rager. What say you?

The 60 retro sound you hear is actually a sample of The Choir Of Young Believers song Claustrophobia. Amazing song but kinda a train wreck of a sample.
