Kanye West Leaves Twitter Long Enough To Perform, Apologize

Kanye West flew to Singapore for a day-glo performance at SINGfest, unleashing his new single “Power” (video out supposedly later today) on the screaming crowd, in addition to performing some old hits. But the moment of the night was when the rapper started to freestyle an apology to all his fans he may have let down in the wake of Swiftgate. Videos below.

Kanye starts the crowd clapping along to the beginning of “Power” before starting over due to it not being loud enough. Everyone clap in ALL CAPS!

Here’s ‘Ye performing “Heartless”:

And here’s when Kanye takes a moment to put his well-documented ego aside and say he’s sorry for ever letting down his fans.

“I’m so sorry to you all, everyone one of ya’ll that had to fight for my name,” Kanye raps to the crowd. “Everyone of ya’ll a year ago that I made feel ashamed / Everyone that said, ‘Kanye is that ni**a’ … I am the one to blame, and the people that I let down, I wanna tell you, right here, right here, right now that I’m a new man and understand my position of power.”

Apparently this New Kanye wasn’t just a fabrication on-stage, as later ‘Ye posted a tweet of redemption: “I will be a better man, friend, role model, citizen, blogger, tweeter, artist, creator, giver, thinker, motivator and person. IFEELTHEGLOW.” And he’s not just talking about his neon suit, either.

Check back here later today for the long-anticipated “Power” vid, full of all the sex and death you could ask for on a Thursday afternoon.
