Lady Gaga Stage Dives And Crowd Surfs At Lollapalooza

Before tearing Chi-Town a new one with her killer headlining set at Lollapalooza, Lady Gaga spent her daytime hours being a regular music fan. Gaga stopped by the set of her friends (and Monster Ball openers) Semi Precious Weapons, but it wasn’t long before she was taking the stage herself to play drums and sing backup. Almost as quickly as she arrived, Gaga gave the festgoers a real thrill when she swan dove into the crowd wearing little more than star pasties and fishnets. Watch it all go down with the live video below!

“She came to watch us perform,” says Semi Precious Weapons frontman Justin Tranter to MTV. “She stood on the side of the stage, and then during the song ‘Magnetic Baby,’ she started playing drums with Dan… Then she started singing backup vocals, then her and I made out, and then she stagedove and then I joined her while she stage-dove. And then we made out while stagediving. And then she left. It was pretty amazing.”

“She used to get onstage with us all the time, but since she’s so famous, normally it’s not safe for her,” Tranter added. “But she played the same stage we played three years ago, and I think she was so excited about us playing that stage, and she loves our band so much that she was overwhelmed by the rock and roll and just had to make it happen.”

Making a ruckus on the very same stage she debuted at Lolla three years ago—we guess some things just don’t change. (Check out our list of all the things that have changed with Gaga-At-Lolla then-and-now.)
