The past seven days brought new music from Kanye West and Katy Perry, not to mention music videos from each. Meanwhile, one particular water bottle became a viral sensation after it smacked Justin Bieber in the head, and Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger took to the Hollywood Bowl stage for a special performance of Rent. Head below to see what our readers had to say about all these pop antics.

:: Jen was feeling the drama on Review Revue: Critics React To Eminem And Rihanna’s “Love The Way You Lie” Video: “I don’t agree with the critics take on this video. This video and song are a warning to others from those who have lived and done it. It doesn’t need to be overly flashy like Kanye West’s. The situation being depicted in the video has enough fireworks. Thank you for giving a voice to those of us who can’t explain it well enough to shout for help. Very well done and it represents both sides well beautifully.”

:: Jonathan Teflong Jon Smith thought Kanye did a good ass job on Review Revue: Critics React To Kanye West’s “Power” Video: “Kanye i think you are a amazing artist….yes i said artist….a lot of rappers or pop stars in the music industry are stuck in one genre…but you continue to show that you can make music for all type of people.”

:: However, Michael gave the rapper the smackdown when he decided to Listen to Kanye West And Beyonce’s New Track “See Me Now”: “One of the worst recordings I’ve heard in years. And the Nobu line is hideous. Who cares if you walk into a restaurant without shoes? And why would one? Also, would this have been so quickly released if Power hadn’t been a massive commercial flop? It’s over. Go away.”

:: Hi! had a teenage nightmare after reading Watch Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” Video And Let Nostalgia Take You Over: “oh that verse melody makes my ears bleed like hot lava! yuck.”

:: Meanwhile, Tiffany felt the future Mrs. Brand went too far on Katy Perry Blasts Her Ex In New Track “Circle The Drain”: “It’s definitely way too harsh. It’s one thing to talk about a relationship gone wrong in a song, but it’s another thing to bash someone over something as painful as an addiction. Not only is it hitting below the belt, it’s kicking someone when they’re not. This is very mean spirited of Katy.”

:: Me, however, begged to differ: “It may be pretty harsh, but it might be just what whoever she wrote this song for needs. You can’t help someone who doesn’t want to help themselves so sometimes you have to tell or show someone exactly how they’re screwing up to get them to change.”

:: AG hurled an insult after reading Justin Bieber Fan Shows Appreciation By Throwing A Water Bottle At His Head: “you chug like a bitch!!!”

:: And Mallory couldn’t get into the groove of It’s Justin Bieber Getting Hit By A Water Bottle: The Auto Tune Remix (Naturally): “who ever did that was a #$&@ing $&@%#bag. im not a huge JB fan but thats just effing mean. you shouldnt do that”

:: J.L. accepted the proposal on Andre 3000 Says “I Do” On New Mixtape Track: “Andre is timeless. A legend. & I love the fact that he doesnt even have to go so so hard anymore. He’s free to just create and this song, I absolutely digg it.”

:: COMMENT OF THE WEEKTorie unleashed the following zinger on Nicole Scherzinger And Vanessa Hudgens Pay Rent At The Hollywood Bowl: “We went to Sunday evening’s performance. And although we had ‘nose bleed’ seats, we were thrilled to see Rent performed live. Nicole was awesome! Wayne Brady did a fabulous job. And Vanessa… Well, let’s just say there is something to be said for prerecorded musical numbers.”
