Florence Welch was a ball of energy on last night’s VMAs, prancing through her jubilant performance of “Dog Days Are Over”, but the intoxicating Florence + The Machine singer takes a lethargic turn in the video for “Heavy In Your Arms“, the song she wrote for the Twilight: Eclipse soundtrack. Welch is dragged and carried to various outdoor locations throughout the unsettling Paranormal Activity-evoking clip. Watch the chilling video below.

Florence + The Machine – “Heavy In Your Arms”

Filmed in all greys with Florence only drumming up enough energy to open her mouth to sing, this haunting clip is pretty much the antithesis of Florence’s orgy of color and vigor that was her VMA-winning (for Art Direction) “Dog Days Are Over” video. It doesn’t much remind us of Edward and Bella and their human/vampire relationship problems—and for that we’re grateful.

Not feeling Florence in black and white? Well, you can do something about it—design her a brightly-hued wardrobe by entering Lucky mag’s contest to design an outfit for Florence + The Machine’s upcoming show at New York’s Terminal 5!
