So far this week, Drake saddled up beside Mary J. Blige, Swizz Beatz and Jay-Z for some killer live performances—and it’s only Tuesday. What can we say, the man loves his collaborations, and you can check a new one out right now: the aspiring Obama impersonator replaces Lil Wayne with Bun B on the remix of the Thank Me Later track “Miss Me.” Check it below:

Bun B – Miss Me (OG Mix)” dl=”0″] A little bit livelier than the original track, the “OG Mix” shows off Bun B’s skills in the studio—and it’s been a long time coming. Rap-Up provides the back story of the track:

When Drake first linked up with Bun B in the studio, the pair crafted “All Night Long,” originally intended to make the final cut of Bun’s Trill OG. But after Lil Wayne heard the Boi-1da and 40 production with the Houston native’s verse on it, Drake decided to replace Bun with Weezy and take it for his debut Thank Me Later under the title “Miss Me.” Now, UGK’s surviving half liberates the original version of the tune, Wayne-free.

Well now Bun’s brief one-line shout-out in the original track makes much more sense, right? Are you missing Weezy on this track, or should Bun B’s verse have been on the track all along?

Oh, and there’s even more Drake pair-ups popping up all over the place—Drizzy is featured on Tank’s new track “Celebration”, which you can hear over at Rap-Up.
