Akon Busts A Move On Cloud 9 In The Dance Track “Angel”

We’re assuming Akon’s track “Angel”, the lead single from is upcoming Stadium Music album, is yet another David Guetta collab, though whether Guetta produced it or not remains unconfirmed at this time. (We’d be shocked if it was anyone else, though—the two have created quite a pairing in the last year.) Listen to the dance jam below.

Yes, the beginning beat is more than reminiscent of the Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling”, but if you’re going to be inspired by another song, there are certainly worse tracks to seek inspiration from than the single that spent the most weeks at number one in all of 2009.

As for David Guetta, between his work on this song, Rihanna’s “Who’s That Chick“, Flo Rida’s “Club Can’t Handle Me“, and various Kelly Rowland and Kelis tracks… Mr. Guetta, you are thisclose from being overexposed.

Is this “Angel” from heaven? Or are you sick of all this dance music already and want Akon to return to his R&B roots?
