We’ve known for a few weeks now that Mariah Carey has been readying a holiday album titled Merry Christmas II You—a sequel to her 1994 hit yuletide offering Merry Christmas. Now Mimi has unveiled the cover image, as well as some of the LP’s details. (And whenever that David LaChapelle cover shot was taken, it had to have been way before her recent trip to Brazil. Just sayin’.)

Carey’s official site points out that Merry Christmas II You will be released November 2. The album will contain Mariah’s versions of holiday classics “Little Drummer Boy”, “O Come All Ye Faithful”, “The First Noel” and “O Little Town Of Bethlehem”, as well as a new version of her own modern day classic “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” (Is that really necessary, Mimi?)

Additionally, there will be four new songs “composed by Mariah,” including the single “Oh Santa.”

Jermaine Dupri, James Poysner and American Idol judge Randy Jackson (i.e. the only original judge still left on the show) served as producers on the seasonal LP.

Will you be adding Mariah’s latest to your Christmas list?
