Yesterday we were treated to a medley of Glee‘s “Britney/Brittany” songs—and today we get full-length tracks. Yay! We feel so lucky, like a Hollywood girl, and we’ll be cry-cry-crying of happiness come Tuesday when the pop star’s tribute episode airs. Jump below to listen to “Slave 4 U” and “Toxic”—plus, watch a preview of “Me Against The Music” with Brittany and Santana in Ms. Spears and Madonna’s roles (and costumes).

Here’s a brief clip of “Me Against The Music”…

…which is basically a Xerox copy of the original video. Anyone else feel like they’re watching MTV’s Faking The Video?

Brittany (Heather Morris) — “Slave 4 U”

We love that Heather Morris finally gets to shine—unfortunatetly, this just sounds like karaoke. Not because she doesn’t have a proficient voice (not that you even need one to sing Britney songs, let’s be honest here), but because Glee rarely tries to do anything different with a song or reinterpret it in a new, exciting way. Once again, they’re just rehashing the original material.

Then again…

Glee Cast – “Toxic”

The acoustic, a capella arrangement of this track actually sounds how like a real-life glee choir would perform this number. And then the improbable music kicks in, making it an inferior cover of the original track. Still, this is an improvement!
