Lady Gaga Asks For Donations To Michael J. Fox Foundation After Grandfather’s Death
Lady Gaga’s sole tweet over the weekend may have left her fans scratching their heads. “Having a Perfect Manhattan, for my perfect guy. Love you Giuseppe,” she wrote on Twitter yesterday. It turns out her grandfather Joseph Germanotta passed away on Friday at the age of 88 after a battle with Parkinson’s Disease. MTV News reports that the Germanotta family is asking for donations to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research as well as the St. Pius X Church in Montville, New Jersey in lieu of flowers. Her grandfather’s death capped off a week that found Gaga rallying for the repeal of the U.S. military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy ahead of a Senate vote last Tuesday.
