Lady Gaga And Yoko Ono Make Some Noise At L.A.’s Orpheum Theatre

On Saturday night, hair-raising pop diva Lady Gaga joined Sean Lennon, RZA and Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore in helping Yoko Ono and her Plastic Ono Band celebrate what would have been John Lennon’s upcoming 70th birthday at Los Angeles’ Orpheum Theatre. (Lennon was born on October 9, 1940). Gaga and Yoko took to the stage and performed a set of songs for an audience of Beatles fans and plain old musical thrillseekers alike. Check out the craziness below! Yoko teaches Lady Gaga how to properly sing the blues—by climbing on top of a piano and rolling around like a naughty minx! (Something tells us she might have already had the “naughty” part down, though.)

A less joyous anniversary will arrive on December 8, a day that will mark 30 years since John Lennon’s death at the hands of Mark David Chapman.
