Jane Lynch Gives A Glee-ful Opening Monologue On ‘SNL’

Jane Lynch—a.k.a television’s favorite tracksuit wearing villain, Sue Sylvester—gave a pitch-perfect (and more importantly, hilarious) performance on Saturday Night Live this past weekend.  For the show’s opening monologue, the Emmy award-winning star performed a new Glee theme song that she “penned” while drunk off of two bottles of tequila. True to her TV character’s persona, Lynch’s theme song was less about the Fox musical sensation and more about herself. Watch below to see the monolgue complete with Sue Sylvester backup dancers!

We love that Jane called poked fun at Glee—a show that rests on its musical performances—for technically not having a theme song.

As you know, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen New Directions’ biggest enemy use her pipes. She’s performed “Vogue”—complete with a shot for shot music video recreation—and teamed up with Olivia Newton-John on Physical”.
