Though Kelly Rowland has yet to reveal her upcoming album title (rumored to debut in the UK on November 29th), her new track “Forever Is Just A Minute Away” has surfaced. Hear the former child of Destiny—turned commander of the dance floor— attempt to speed up the hands of time, to end a good relationship gone bad after the jump.

We know what you’re thinking, “I already heard a song from Kelly Rowland’s new album with ‘forever’ in the title.” Yes, but as you can hear “Forever And A Day” and “Forever Is Just A Minute Away” could not be more different: both musically and lyrically.

“Forever And A Day” talks of infatuation, and forever equals “how long I’ll be loving you”.In “Forever Is Just A Minute A Way”—a far departure from the Euro club sound of “F.A.A.D”—the “Rose Colored Glasses” songbird sings that the, “hour glass is running low”. The time with her man is just about up and the end just can’t come fast enough. In the track produced by Jim Jonsin (Kid Cudi’s “Erase Me”), we’re really digging the lyric:

“You seem to always know what’s right for me/But now the therapist needs therapy”

Though no track list has been released yet for her third studio album, we wonder if “Forever And A Day” and “Forever Is Just A Minute A Way” will bookend the album. Perhaps Kelly is weaving the songs into a tapestry of a relationship from beginning to end—or maybe it’s just a coincidence.
