The 2010 Country Music Association Awards went down in Nashville last night, and while Miranda Lambert’s multiple wins (including Album, Female Vocalist and Music Video Of The Year) were indeed noteworthy, it was Gwyneth Paltrow’s live performance of “Country Strong” that really gave the night some twang. Watch the Iron Man actress, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift and Kelly Clarkson take to the CMAs stage after the jump. Gwyneth got some backup from crooner Vince Gill on “Country Strong,” a song that appears in her upcoming same-titled film (out December 22).

Pretty awesome, Gwyneth. We never thought these words would be uttered, but after that performance it’s actually not outside the realm of possibility that Paltrow just might land a hit single. She should let her hair down (literally) more often!

Below are more of the night’s performances:

Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley and Keith Urban — “Songs Like This”

Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson – “Don’t You Wanna Stay”

Taylor Swift – “Back To December”
