2010 American Music Awards: The Performances & List Of Winners

Nov 22nd, 2010 // 11 Comments

A careful look at the nominess for Sunday’s American Music Awards should have signaled that we were in for a long night of poor-to-horrendous attempts at live singing, but still, we just had no idea, you guys. Pitchiness abounded, but we did enjoy seeing some of our faves rock the red carpet beforehand. (Is Taylor Swift taking cues from Donatella Versace now?). Check below to see the evening’s performances from Rihanna, Black Eyed Peas, Miley Cyrus, Enrique Iglesias and the rest of the lineup. Was it just us, or did you miss Adam Lambert?

Rihanna, “Love The Way You Lie (Part II)/What’s My Name/Only Girl (In The World)”

Enrique Iglesias, “I Know You Want Me/I Like It”

Miley Cyrus, “Forgiveness and Love” (what is this stevie nicks shit she’s trying to pull)

Diddy-Dirty Money, “Coming Home”

Kid Rock, “Born Free”

Black Eyed Peas, “The Time”

Katy Perry, “Firework”

Justin Bieber, “Pray”

OMG, thank you, thank you, thank you! if this is music, then i need to find a new label for the real artists. it’s ALL formulaic and the accolades mean nothing in this era. it’s like saying, “let’s honor the best of the mediocre!”

  2. tinaball

They Lambasted Adam Lambert last year…but not a peep on this years sluttiness??
how about Xtinas porn show with her girls??? legs spread,,,butts bent over…thats ok though…we are all used to looking at women acting like that….
should have had Adam back…..so many of them are awful singers live…..at least he can belt it out…….I watched E!!!

  3. I do not like Miley C she is Bi

I couldn’t have said it better myself! I never watch the AMA’s or any other music award show for reasons such as this! but what came over me to watch last night, i can’t really say. all i know is i was so disappointed with where the industry has gone musically. the only time their music actually sounds decent is when altered extra-electronically by some DJ. and even then, thats a rare thing to find – phenomenal DJ’s! if the industry were on fire, i wouldn’t even so much as pee on it to save it. we need a revolution.

  5. Wicked Glitter

Bwahahaha! Their closing act was the Backstreet Boys! Last year it was Adam Lambert, and I couldn’t wait for his performance. This year I didn’t bother to watch because Adam wasn’t on. I watched Adam on E! instead, and I’m so glad I did. Adam was gorgeous, sweet, and charismatic as usual. He didn’t even have to sing with that great big ‘natural’ beautiful voice he has to make me happy that I chose to watch him.

Adam Lambert is the only artist with real talent that was proven on American Idol, week after week and now almost 2 years later he continuse to entertain( 103+ sold out concerts). He is a worldwide star, adored by millions of fans. The True Hollywood story only covered the surface of this truly talented artist’s phenomenal power. Only time will tell and prove what his fans know about this out of the world talent. ADAM LAMBERT IS A ROCKSTAR!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Brimeon

Oh well. If I’m a musical mind slave, I don’t really care because I enjoy the music and enjoy being a mind slave. So all you people out there who feel more ‘enlightened’ then the common populous, I hope you like being disgruntled and unhappy with what’s popular. Because, short of war, your opinion is not going to change anything. Sorry.

  8. Brimeon

However, I do love Lambert and Gaga, and I also missed them greatly.

  9. Ironically, nobody had mentioned that Bon Jovi sang a medly of several of their hits. Though I also watched something else when this show was broadcast, I’d at least recorded it with my DVR.

  10. Vicky

  11. look dude maybe you just don’t know what real music is!!! also those people work really hard to intertane people, and yea they might do it for money but maybe they enjoy doing what they do best! did you ever think that one through?! yea i don’t like Beiber but you know what i think that he was playing the piano, he’s WAY better than you i bet. all of those artist are great performers and you can’t do anything about it.
