The Black Eyed Peas have promised to drop a single a week until their forthcoming album, The Beginning, drops on November 30. (Which is a generous gift or an evil threat, depending on whether you enjoy the group’s empty-but-enjoyable beats.) And the AMA performers, who walked away with Favorite Pop/Rock Group, are true to their word — listen to their third new track in as many weeks, the (comparatively) laid-back number, “Light Up The Night” below.

(Which, coincidentally — or not — will.i.am guested on.) This tune is a bit anticlimactic following the nonstop, A.D.D. dance party tracks that are “The Time (The Dirty Bit)” and “Do It Like This“. We almost expect every BEP song to go off the rails into utter synth-aided insanity at this point, so we’re a bit disappointed with “Light Up The Night”. What do you think?
