Let’s just say we didn’t double over in shock when we read that Entertainment Weekly had named Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy as their #1 album of 2010. ‘Ye has nabbed the top spot — or at least figured into the Top 10 — on (almost) every year-end best list around. Sadly, Lil Wayne isn’t feeling the same love: the pop culture mag marked the SNL performer’s depressing rap-rock release, Rebirth, as the Worst Album of the Year. Still not the most terrible thing to happen to Weezy this year.

Jump below to find out who else ranked with EW in 2010.

Best Albums of 2010

1. Kanye West, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy 2. Arcade Fire, The Suburbs 3. Robyn, Body Talk 4. The Black Keys, Brothers 5. Big Boi, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son Of Chico Dusty 6. Sleigh Bells, Treats 7. Cee Lo Green, The Lady Killer 8. Janelle Monae, The Archandroid 9. Local Natives, Gorilla Manor 10. Laura Marling, I Speak Because I Can

Worst Albums of 2010

1. Lil Wayne, Rebirth 2. Santana, Guitar Heaven: The Greatest Guitar Classics Of All Time 3. Liz Phair, Funstyle 4. Bret Michaels, Custom Built 5. Christina Aguilera, Bionic

They make sure to point out that although Xtina’s latest LP wasn’t the worst of the year, it was “one of the most disappointing,” filled with “rote diva antics, bratty throwaways and way more vagina talk than anyone should ever have to hear outside of a gynecologist’s office.”

Best Singles of 2010

1. B.o.B feat. Bruno Mars, “Nothin’ On You” 2. Nicki Minaj’s guest raps 3. Taylor Swift, “Back To December” 4. Pink, “Raise Your Glass” 5. Usher, “OMG” 6. Gorillaz, “Stylo” 7. Lady Gaga feat. Beyonce, “Telephone” 8. Bruno Mars, “Grenade” 9. Paramore, “The Only Exception” 10. Mark Ronson & The Business Intl. feat. Q-Tip and MNDR, “Bang Bang Bang”

Worst Singles of 2010

1. Countess LuAnn, “Money Can’t Buy You Class” 2. Chris Brown, “Deuces” 3. The Black Eyed Peas, “The Time (Dirty Bit)” 4. Artists for Haiti, “We Are The World 25 For Haiti” 5. Train, “Hey, Soul Sister”

We must point out that two of the songs on their Worst List are nominated for Grammys — a live performance of Train’s “Hey Soul Sister” is up for Best Performance By A Pop Duo/Group, and Brown’s “Deuces” is nominated for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. Money may not be able to buy you class, but a bad song (by EW‘s definition, anyway) can still potentially win an award.

What do you think of the mag’s picks? What got left out? And was Bionic really that bad?
