Recent Saturday Night Live performer Lil Wayne has shown appreciation to his fans once more via WeezyThanx.com, the site he often posted thoughts on while he was holed up at Rikers Island earlier this year. And this time he’s giving a couple glimpses from his Rolling Stone cover shoot. “The shoot was in Miami two weeks ago and just being able to do this type of stuff again is therapeutic,” the “6 Foot 7 Foot” rapper wrote. “Be sure to pick up the issue when it hits stands. Thank you to the people at Rolling Stone for the opportunity.” The pic of Wayne posing shirtless was taken on the set of the shoot by his pal DJ Scoob Doo. Meanwhile, Weezy also expressed his gratitude for his current single being #1 on iTunes: “Thank you for making 6 foot 7 foot #1 on itunes, you will continue to be #1 in my heart.”

The song, which features Cory Gunz, is the first tease of Lil Wayne’s forthcoming Tha Carter IV. Are you excited for new music from the prolific MC so soon after the release of I Am Not A Human Being?
