Sure, Keri Hilson’s just-released No Boys Allowed landed on our Worst Album Cover Art Of 2010 roundup, but surely there’s something to be said for the old adage that you can’t judge a book—or in this case, record—by the cover? Case in point: Miss Keri’s Nelly-featuring synth jam “Lose Control/Let Me Down.” Listen below. Hilson wisely buddied up with Midas-touch production team Stargate on this particular track. In addition to Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa’s current hit “Black And Gold”, Stargate also twiddled the knobs on four of this year’s chart-topping singles: Rihanna’s “Rude Boy”, “Only Girl (In The World)” and “What’s My Name”, and Katy Perry’s “Firework.”

So it’s not surprising that “Lose Control” starts right off the bat with an instantly catchy pop keyboard riff that reverberates while Keri weaves her lusty lyrics throughout the song.

Nelly appears two-thirds of the way in, rapping and making the off-color reference to “the way you’re shaking your anus.” (Silly Nelly—this isn’t a Ke$ha tune!)
