Soulja Boy Brags That He Wrote Willow Smith’s “Whip My Hair”

Poor Soulja Boy—his mind-numbing, dimwitted singles “Pretty Boy Swag” and “Speakers Going Hammer” stiffed in the charts last year, while his third LP The DeAndre Way crashed, burned and burst into a cloud of massive fail dust when it debuted at #90 on the Billboard Top 200 last month. To make up for it, he’s now claiming to have written Willow Smith’s hit “Whip My Hair.” Can you believe this guy? “YES ITS TRUE I WROTE ‘WHIP MY HAIR’ FOR WILLOW SMITH. THATS WHY SHE SAYS HOP OUT THE BED TURN MY SWAG ON. WE GETTING $$$ 2011 NO GAMES,” Soulja Boy tweeted on January 2.

Now, granted, the extremely humble rapper is credited with penning his own 2009 Top 20 single “Turn My Swag On.” However, ASCAP lists Ronald Jackson and Janae Ratliff as the songwriters of “Whip My Hair.”

Until his claim is proven to be true, we suggest tossing this Soulja into the barracks for some hard discipline, where he’ll be given the specific order to carry out writing hits for himself instead of jacking the credit for those he had no part in.
