Despite Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Friday series reaching its end, we’re thankfully still being treated to new tunes from the rapper. A few weeks ago, we were gifted the Xmas song “Christmas In Harlem”, this morning Josh Groban put West’s tweets to music, and now comes the recently surfaced, previously unreleased track, “Eyes Closed.” The song was reportedly recorded during his sessions for My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, and we can see why it didn’t make the cut, as it doesn’t really carry the same vibe as the rest of the album. Listen to the (tagged) track below and see if you agree.

Rumor is a reworked version of this song will feature Snoop Dogg and John Legend, and will be placed on Snoop’s forthcoming album. We’re not feeling it right now, but we’ll reserve final judgment til we hear a finished version. But you don’t have to! What do you think of “Eyes Closed”? Does it have potential, or should this one remain tucked away from the public?
