Show choirs, domestic violence and teenage dreaming triumphed in the music categories at the Queen Latifah-hosted 2011 People’s Choice Awards, which went down at L.A.’s Nokia Theater last night. And, really, you have to love a show where “‘Single Ladies’ Devastation” gets a trophy, right? Head below to see who won what and to catch Favorite Breakout Artist winner Selena Gomez’s live performance of “A Year Without Rain.” (Also, peep Selena’s red carpet pics here). Eminem snagged four trophies (Favorite Song and Favorite Music Video—both for “Love The Way You Lie”—plus Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Hip Hop Artist), while Katy Perry was the public’s choice Female Artist and Online Sensation.

Fox hit Glee earned awards for Favorite TV Comedy and Comedy Actress (Jane Lynch), while American Idol was named Favorite Competition Show—one good thing, at least, that came out of Season 9.

Queen Latifah opens the show by half-singing over Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite.” (At least Kathy Griffin looks amused.)

Selena Gomez & The Scene perform their single “A Year Without Rain.”

Elton John presents Taylor Swift with her Favorite Country Artist award.
