La Roux’s surprise Go Show in Manhattan slipped under our radar amid the December holidays, but it’s too lovely not to share. In what singer Elly Jackson describes as a “kind of classy but sleazy” rendition of their Grammy-nominated jam “In For The Kill“, the band slows down the tempo and strips away the synths (also, Kanye) to create a softer, chilled-out take — a drastic shift for a band that sometimes sounds tinny or, as Jackson says, “harsh”.
