Ricky Martin’s “The Best Thing About Me Is You” Video Tackles The Big Issues

No longer livin’ the crazy life, Ricky Martin’s new music video for “The Best Thing About Me Is You” (off of his upcoming album Music+Soul+Sex) is a big departure from his “She Bangs” days. The recently out pop star sports a Human Rights Campaign temporary tattoo for most of the simplistic video, which features shirtless models—but surprisingly not Joss Stone who lent her vocals to the track. The song’s message and tune sound remarkably like a Jason Mraz ditty (though it was co-written and produced by longtime Martin collaborator Desmond Child). So “don’t say no, just say yes” and jump below to Ricky’s flick.

It’s a little reminiscent of the old United Colors Of Benetton commercials, no? It’s got all walks of life, even a goth girl holding a baby. But Benetton never had a tune this engaging.
