Hayley Williams Unveils Chorus Of New Song “In The Mourning”

Despite the happy fortune of Hayley Williams and her band Paramore being up for awards at next month’s Grammys, the Tennessee rockers have had to endure the messy exit of brothers Josh and Zac Farro recently and, therefore, damage control in the aftermath. But that hasn’t squashed photo-friendly Hayley’s creativity one bit. Head below to hear the chorus of a new song she posted online called “In The Mourning.” “A few weeks ago I posted some new lyrics up on Tumblr. Wanted to share the melody with anyone who’s asked me to post it,” Williams wrote on her blog Let’s Be Freaks. She then points out that the short clip—which simply features her layered vocals, sans instrumentation—is not from a song that’s intended for the band.

“This is just the chorus. I didn’t want to post the full thing yet because I don’t want people thinking it’s a new Paramore song,” Hayley noted. “This is just something I wrote for fun. Hope you likes!”
