While Adele’s “Rolling In The Deep” has been available for the past month on iTunes, the physical CD single doesn’t come out in the UK until this coming Monday (January 17). And on it sits the bluesy, acoustic B-side “If It Hadn’t Been For Love,” which you can hear below. “If It Hadn’t Been For Love” is a cover of a song by Nashville bluegrass act The SteelDrivers, from their 2008 self-titled LP. And given the new material we’ve heard so far from Adele, this is quite a different number than the stomping “Rolling In The Deep” and mournful piano ballad “Someone Like You.”

Of course, as the 22-year-old Brit demonstrated on her debut LP 19, she’s quite adept at wrapping that big voice around a slew of genres.

But if anything, it’s whet our appetite further for Adele’s upcoming 21.
